or a maximum circumference of 3-7/8 inches
Diameter is the measurement from the bottom
of the rod blank to the top of the line guide.
SPINNING RODS-For rods up to 7-1/2 feet in length
& a maximum diameter of 2-1/2 inches
or a maximum circumference of 7-5/8 inches

The Stick Jacket™ fishing rod covers work best if the opening falls between the last line guide and the rod handle. 
For rigged rods, it is best to attach lures to a hook keeper at the base of the rod handle or the reel itself. 
Note the hanging grommet for easy storage.
